is anyone going to try these chokes in there 835? and i looked at there 10 gauge chokes and it says extra full is 739? that seems like it isnt going to be tight enough

Thei e.d's are different in their turkey chokes than what is listed. Call and ask is ur best bet. Emails don't seemed to get replied to, my experience anyway.

I'm sure that colonial has been flooded with calls as of late due to star dot discovery, but their customer service is poor. Did not return email and both times I've called, they acted as if I was putting them out. I just recently purchased a Franchi affinity and called to ask the e.d of their turkey chokes (website does not accurately list) and the lady answering the phone actually sighed!

Hmmm.  I just called a few minutes ago to ask about a choke and the nice young lady on the other end of the line was very helpfull and polite.  Must have been the way I asked?... :z-flirtysmile3:

My experience was not so good with Colonial.  When I called sometimes they had answers sometimes not.  No return or exchange policy.

Here's the one I ordered sitting side by side with a Stardot. The exit diameter on the Colonial choke mics .679 and the Stardot is .6765. The Stardot has a few more ports as well. Other than that the internals look exactly the same. I haven't had a chance to run it yet but I believe it will be a shooter.

So if I found the .680 Colonial Arms for the 835 for 42 bucks shipped, do you think I should pull the trigger?

Yes.  $42 for a turkey choke is fairly cheap.  If you don't like it, somebody on here will buy it
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands, love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper; his hands remember the rifle.

I agree.

That choke ought to rival the Star Dot.  They should be practically the same exact choke from what I was told.

Myles should be letting us know soon.
