My Kids and I went and shot this afternoon, we were shooting pieces of tempered 1/4 masonite and it was interesting to me, My first shot was 1 old white out of a SX3-26" barrel-IC .665, I had 173 in the 10 at 40 with all but 15 pellets penatrating, My oldest son was shooting a 835-24" tube-Kicks .675, his load was Remington 1 7/8 oz. 4x6 with 110 in the 10" not a lot but very even all but 8 #6 penetrated, My youngest shot his Remy 870-21"tube-SSX choke, He is shooting Hevi 13 2 3/4" #5, He had 80 in a 10" with all pellets complete penatration, I then shot a Hevi 13 2 1/4 oz #7 out of the SX3, I had 278 in the 10 with about 75 percent complete penetration, I had sevral that just imbeded in the masonite but I do not believe a Turkey would have survived just because of the density. Just passing on my findings, I know it probably isn't the best test medium,just thought I'd pass this along, was just trying to spend some quality time with 2 of the boys.
