First mouth call

At a local sports show I bought enough stuff to build 5 mouth calls . The first and last turned out good . They are triple reeds . When I attempted to cut "V"s in the other calls they sounded bad . i can't complain .What's a good but cheaper mouth call vise ?I would like to get into this a little more. Thanks!
