Yes, No Problems with using both together.

Sure. You can use a ported choke even if you have Ports on the barrel.

Ported barrel is about the only way to help the recoil other then the forcing cone.

If you are shooting a semi-auto there is a chance that shells will not feed properly. By using magnum loads it is more likely not to be a problem.

I use a ported Preston Pittman tube on my ported Mossberg 835. I think the combination helps with recoil. Not such a factor in the field, but it sure makes patterning less uncomfortable. I've still got the factory tube that came with the gun. It's not ported.
