Does anyone shoot this load? How do they compare to the 3-2-6 hevi?

my 835 with a tightwad choke shot the 1.5/8 load great. at 35 yards i got 266 in the 10 so my gun likes them :z-guntootsmiley:

Shot this lighter H13 load today...it was all my local store had of the H13...and I prefer not to pay shipping charges.

11-87 with .665 JH choke, distances were measured at a local range using their patterning board

H13 3-1 5/8oz-6 @ 30 yards 213 pellets in a 10" circle

H13 3-1 5/8oz-6 @ 40 yards 120 pellets in a 10" circle

I got 130s in a 10 at 40 with a tristar and a puregold (it was chilly outside and the barrel wasn't cleaned)

I got 130-140 out of a jelly head in a 870 (again that was about the 4th shot through the barrel and it wasn't cleaned between)

I just bought a box of 2ounce6s to try out.

I shoot the 1 5/8 6's out of 24" barreled Stoeger with a Jellyhead.  I would have to dig the target out, but I believe I got in the 150's @ 40 yds.

Dug out the target and it was actually 175 @ 40 yds.

My 40 yard shot with this H13 shell was about the 8th shot of the day and barrel had not been cleaned....probably could have been a better shot as well. Pellet count seemed low, if I did a reshot would expect it to be in the 140-150 range.

A local gun shop I go to had several boxes of this load for $9.99 per box.

He also had a TON of #4's for $9.99 per box.

If I wasn't getting into loading my own, I would have bought the #6's.

surehuntsalot

a couple or so years ago,I ran across 3 boxes of this light load in #5's for 8.99 a box so I bought them planning on coyote hunting with them
took them to the pattern board just to get an idea, used my 835 with a stardot, needless to say they didn't go coyote hunting,I have taken several birds with those shells, they pattern great
it's not the harvest,it's the chase

3" 870 Shell Shucker

The 1.75 Oz and 2.00 Oz #6 shells pattern about the same for me.

The 1.625 Oz shells have never patterned very well for me.  I've shot a lot of them too.

The heavier loads give me another 50-60+ hits in 10" at 40 Yards.
