I got a chance to shoot the federal HW #7 today and I'm very pleased with the results. 139 in 10in. @40 temp was 63. Results were shot from  my 20ga 870 with 28in. Barrel with remSF choke

Where did you find the Fed HW?  I am looking for some for my 20 and I can't find any locally...

I have gotten almost exactly the same results with that same combination. Have taken birds at 40+ and 38 yards with it.

If you have not taken the time to deep clean and polish the interior of your barrel, look into doing that. You should see an increase of about 15% in your patterns.

Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

I am hoping to get some Fed HW #7's thru my BPS this weekend. Trulock choke should be in today or tomorrow, and polishing supplies should be in by late week.
If at first you don't succeed, shoot again.
