ANYONE SHOOT THEM...... :z-dizzy:

Federal Ammunition Strut-Shok Turkey Loads
Extra-hard lead shot produces denser patterns, truer and faster flight, and better downrange energy. Granulated shot buffer prevents pellet deformation, improves pattern density and penetration for reliable, consistently lethal performance. Per 10. Made in USA.

Um...new?!!  I have probably 4 or 5 boxes of that stuff from at least 10 years ago.  When did this stuff get all "new"??

It appears that it's new to Cabela's.  But yeah, it's been around for a while.  The Federal reps told me several years ago that it would be the closet thing they have to the old gold and blue box "Premium" shells they used to sell that were friggin' awesome.  I haven't patterned them, and I'm sure how easily their "hard" shot will deform.  I would prefer them to use copper or nickel plated shot, though.  BUT...at least that dang FCW is absent, and they're priced really well.  I'd be curious to see how well they stack up against Winchester's gray box Super X loads with buffered copper plated shot.

I wonder what I could sell mine for?     NOT!!  That old Federal stuff is the single best factory pb load I have ever seen!

Those were the shells I took my first two gobblers with last year. I wasn't overly impressed with the patterns, but they were comparable to any of the lead Winchester rounds I put through my Benelli Nova.

Pretty sure from reading your other posts regarding that gun and choke...you need to find another choke...or another gun.  If THAT MANY different loads won't pattern well through a particular choke it only makes perfect sense that your gun simply does not like THAT choke.  I have not met many folks that have shot the "older" Federal Premiums that didn't get incredible patterns with them...

It was actually the barrel and was returned today.

I'll be giving the Federals another go after I get it back, but I am not the only one I have met that doesn't like those rounds. I've shot quite a few from my backup Mossberg 550A (which has been my primary since I have encountered the issues with my Nova) and results were far short of anything I would characterize as incredible.
