Bought my SO a nova 20 guage, full camo youth model with a 24 inch barrel. Put IC choke on it. All i need now is to find someone to drill and tap it for a sight.

I really enjoy taking the wifey out hunting, she enjoys it also. I am hoping to get her a bird called in close enough to shoot this year. The closest I have gotten her was about 100 yards across a field. That will change since I am going out of state for an earilier start date, and she might get to go opening morning this year.

We have hunted turkeys together the 3 years, with last year being the best on opening day. Set up 150 yards from where i knew the birds were roosting. Blew the locator call after setting up and there he was , still in the tree with hens. As the flock hit the ground, i yelpedand cutted and he was on fire but there was another bird more vocal than he was, a hen. That old girl was cutting me off every time. Well, if something wants to start a battle with me, i am all for it. I switched rolls with her, when she would call, i would call to her as aggressive as i could, cutting her off, the whole time old boy blowing the woods up. Sure enough here came 6 hens with the lead girl looking for the intruder. In the rear of the flock of hens was old boy in full strut. He came within 20 yards, my emotions were so high that i barely was able to make turkey sounds with my mouth call, at times it sounded like a cross between an elk and a turkey. I was almost screaming at my wife to shoot, but every time she would say she didnt see him. The flock walked right past us with no shots fired. Come to find out my wife had a gigantic oak in front of her that blocked her view.we moved on and located another bird at about 930. He too had hens and was on fire. So we got within range and set up again. This old boy was coming and he was coming fast. Again i only called to the hen. All of a sudden there he was 40 yards away. I thought for sure this was it. My wife so excited, i could hear her " i see him". That dude jumped up a fallen tree, beard hanging, he was at least a 3 year old. He putted 2-3 times and rolled out, never making another sound. I looked around and was confused, threw my hat and said a few naughty words. We walked to the nearest road where i played that scenario over and over in my mind. I walked backto the truck to get some water and i was coming back to where my wife was i could see a shining light about 150 yards down the road. It was so bright. Then i figured it out. It was the pretty, shiny gun i had bought her years back. Needless to say that gun is sold now, which brings us to the full camo nova.

I shoot the same gun. Had it drilled and tapped and put on a 4x Nikon. Also went with the .555 IC. It likes Nitros and H 13s in 7s.
