After knocking down a hen Ringneck, a Bald Eagle dropped down out of the blue, and snatched her up while she was in the middle of death diving. I was fortunate enough to snap a couple pics sfter she missed on the first attempt.

Right before the claws grabbed it

Awesome pics!  Have had this happen before, lost a greenhead to an eagle bout five years ago.

Very Cool,I have friends in Idaho, and they say that happens all the time out there. They say the eagles wait in lines on the river banks.

Catching that on film is pretty rare. I think you have a once in a life time memory. Very neat, thanks for sharing.

Very cool pictures -  Just today at a STA area we noticed how a young Bald Eagle managed to get 10,000 coots to clear out of the area like the grim reaper was on em' , he was like a shark cruising at a slow pace I think what he was looking for was a flightless cripple or sick duck/coot to snack on like your Eagle

Eagles never put a dent in the coot population

I love watching that happen. It is like Moses parting the Red Sea. The complete lack of care for the gunfire around it was what amazed me the most. I figured the Eagle would play it safe and snack on the abundant coots, but a Ringneck might have been just too good to resist!

I've been seeing a few here in South Arkansas.  I had a hawk come down and get one of my foam decoys one time.  The decoy had a claw hole right through the back of the head!
