Has anyone ever tried turning a pot from rich pine?  I'm curious if the adhiesive will adhere to it very well due to the resin.  If it doesn't turn out, I guess it'll still be good for kindling. :-\

I have turn some pens from it. It gums up the sandpaper alot. Turns easy and finihes nice. I wouldnt mess with on calls though. JMO

Thanks.  I kinda' thought it would gum up a little.  I'm just trying to think of what I can do with what I have available.  I'm just getting started on turning pots.  Been making boxes for a while now.  I like to do it when I have time....not as a business.  Tried that and found I didn't enjoy it as much when there was a timeline/commitment.

This doesn't answer your question, but my Paw Paw has made pegs or strikers out of pine. After he gets them complete he burns the end of the striker with a match. They work pretty good...........
