I debated about posting on this, but can't with good conscience NOT post.
Next Tuesday, November 8th, Mississippi residents have the opportunity to vote on an issue that could change current U.S. policy related to abortion. Ammendment 26 simply asks the following question:
"Should the term 'person' be defined to include every human being from the moment of fertilization, cloning, or the functional equivalent thereof?"
You can find out more about the ammendment at:
http://yeson26.net/I find it quite interesting that Planned Parenthood affiliates across the country have established an organization called "Mississipians for Healthy Families" to spread untruths about this ammendment, to include the completely bogus claim that it would make birth control pills unavailable for those who need them. Why would Planned Parenthood spend thousands of dollars in attempt to defeat this ammendment? They receive over $363 million yearly in taxpayer dollars. Passage of Ammendment 26 could impact federal funding of this agency down the road. Planned Parenthood is an agency founded by or on the beliefs of Margaret Sanger. An interesting quote by Sanger is as follows:
"The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it." Margaret Sanger, Women and the New Race (Eugenics Publ. Co., 1920, 1923)
More info on Sanger and Planned Parenthood:
http://www.dianedew.com/sanger.htmI found the photo below quite interesting. It was from a surgery done on a 22 week old baby diagnosed with spina bifida. You can see that the baby reached out of the incision and grasped the surgeon's hand... not a human being?
This baby was 22 weeks old... a candidate for "partial birth abortion". A diagram of the PBA process is below.
