Dave Smith Decoys
has a new Deer Decoy !
http://davesmithdecoys.com/shop/decoys/deer/the-dsd-posturing-buck-w/-stabilizer-base/prod_76.html
" Product Information
The DSD Posturing Buck had a better initial field trial than any other DSD product to date! As has been the case with our goose and turkey decoys, our advice is to keep an open mind when it comes to the "rules" of deer decoys and what reactions deer will or will not have to decoys. All of the past information available on decoying deer, turkeys, and geese has been based on the widespread use of decoys that looked unnatural and alarmed.
The DSD Posturing Buck is for use during archery seasons only, or for law enforcement by professionals. DO NOT use the decoy if any rifle, shotgun, or muzzleloader seasons are in progress. Wear hunter orange while placing the decoy and always add the antlers last and remove them first. Use treestands instead of groundblinds to elevate yourself out of a possible line of fire.
The DSD Posturing Buck is not designed to be an ultra-portable and easily disassembled decoy. It is designed to have as few seams as possible and be ready to go and not assembled at the hunting sight. The decoy's body is shipped in 2 halves in the same box along with the removable ears and the removable antlers. We recommend assembling the decoy before use in the field. There are no tools required for assembly and all of the hardware is included with the decoy. Full assembly takes about 15 minutes. For safety NEVER transport this decoy to and from the field with the antlers installed.
The DSD Posturing Buck comes complete with one fiberglass field stake for setup in the field.
For use on hard or frozen ground this decoy comes with the the Stabilizer Base, a 24" x 24" brown powder-coated metal frame that provides excellent stability without staking. "

Good lord, at first look, I thought that sucker was real! Still...I'll take my Scarface for the money I payed. He's paid for himself in just one season. Deadly on pre-rut/rutting bucks! Last year I shot my 9 point less than three feet from him destroying my decoy. Tell me those things don't work and I'll show you the bloody arrows to prove you wrong!

$600+ dollars and 25 pounds... no thank you, I have enough stuff on my back during deer season. I'll keep my DSD turkey deeks though!
Probably be able to find a DSD buck decoy for half that cost on ebay in a year.

WOW!!! That's an amazing decoy! If I were an outfitter or were able to hunt a lot during the rut I would consider getting one!

wow that looks awesome. I would give it 1/2 hour in eastern KY before it had a bullet hole in it. KDFWR should buy some to help catch night shooters.
