Thought I would share. This is for a big batch like for church dinners so cut it down if it's just for the family or you will be eating bean for a week, but with these that ain't a bad thing.
5 cans of dark red kidney beans
4 cans of baby butter beans
3 cans of black beans
3/4 cup of REAL MOLASSAS not the corn syrup stuff.
3/4 cup of BBQ sauce (I like head country)
1 small onion sliced thin
four or five slices of 1/2 cooked bacon choped up
(optional) 1 jalapeno pepper sliced.
Mix all this up in a dissposable pan (turkey pan) and place it in the smoker for 3 hours at 200-225. Do not cover. You'll be glad you did.
