Matt Rinella has Turkeys for Tomorrow on his Pod Cast This week.  It's a pretty good listen.  They start talking about the actual subject at minute 39 if you want to weed through the introductions and small talk leading up to the main topic.

Thanks for the heads-up on the podcast. I listened to it and found it to be fairly interesting. (As an aside, I wish I had a dollar for every time the guest said "man" during the interview...I could fund a OSS turkey hunt or two   ;D )...(As another aside, Rinella needs to learn to keep his interruptions of his guests commentary to a minimum instead of constantly interjecting needlessly   ::) )

I think the TFT guys hearts are in the right place, but Rinella asked some of the same questions I think many of us are asking. That is, why isn't TFT making more of an effort to keep the turkey-hunting public informed as to what they are doing? A prime example of this can be found right here on OG. As far as I know, this is the most prominent site for turkey hunters in the country. Why is there not some sort of regular interaction by someone from TFT on this site informing all of us as to what they are doing, what they plan on doing, and how they plan on applying the results towards increasing turkey populations?

Having said the above, I am a member of TFT and regularly receive emails about what they are doing and support their efforts. I also regularly contribute to their fundraising efforts...which include some pretty cool stuff...but appear to be very poorly promoted.  Bottom line is that it looks like they are doing some good things but they really need to get their sh*t together and do a better job of promoting themselves to the public.

TFT got an extremely bad black eye with a lot of people when they got little Dave involved.

And if you notice, he is no longer with them. Good on TFT!

Podcast was good. I've met Jason a couple times and he is quite the character. He absolutely loves the wild turkey and wants what is best, that is no facade. I was also very glad to hear he does not like what social media/YouTube has caused in the turkey world!

I didn't know that and am glad to. I haven't looked at their website since they announced little Dave as a board member.

Glad to see that's corrected.

Was there ever any mention of why Dave is no longer a board member?
