Agents are not always on duty, but can investigate anyway if necessary.  This agent could have been off duty and shopping for supplies.  The agent was not the one who wrote the ticket.  It was a clerical error.  The ticket should have never been issued according to the USFWS.  Always report injured animals to your local Wildlife office.  Never pick up a wild animal that is injured or abandoned.

Funny how those clerical errors occur when they realize there's no prosecutor in their right mind who is going to touch that case with a 10 foot pole.

I got money that ticket will get waived big time now that it's got national news resentment and publicity.  The media influence and the girls age will wash all of this away.  Let's wait and see if I am right.

Remindes me of one year i was goose hunting on a friends pond, we were in our blind and ran out of coffie, i walked to the truck to get anouther thermos looked across the dirt road and seen the game warden siting in her truck watching me. she realized i seen her and pulled over to me, ask for my licence and wanted to check my gun, i did not bring it to the truck with me. she started to freak out wanted to know where my gun was, why i didnot have it with me. told her i don't need a gun to get coffie its in my blind. then she ordered me to go get the other guys and my gun, i told her she would have to call in someone else to do that since i did not work for her. she went and broung everyone to the truck and started checking licence and loads, we were all good until she noticed that on my licence there was no fed bird stamp, it came off in my wallet i found it and showed her where it was stuck on but came off. wrote me a ticket for hunting without a fed licence. what a jerk. i normaly just pay a ticket but not this one. went to court and it took about 30 secounds for the judge to explain to her that this was a total waste of his time,my time and money, case dissmised.

Her name wouldnt happen to be Cindy would it? We had a female warden down here that didnt get along with people to well. Couple of rednecks saw her clothes hanging on a clothes line at dusk and thought it was her. Couple rounds of buck shot went through them. She got transferred up your way not to long after that.

We had a game warden tell us he could write us a ticket for having shed antlers from deer.
Now get this, the resident deer biologist (who works for the game department) has a shed finding dog that he brings up to our farm to look for sheds.
