In my younger years I wore whatever I had, usually rubber boots that were cheap. Then when I got a job started buying snake boots the best I could find. 6 years ago a pair of Rockys lasted me three years. Then I bought a new pair of Chippewa lace up snake boots. Yep they only lasted 3 years and same old story, walked the soles off both pair. Kinda like wearing flippers. Recently retired from Law enforcement after 33 years.  My birthday is at the end of April and my wife bought me a new pair of Crispi's. Was able to put 20 days on them and they were FANTASTIC, COMFORTABLE AND FIT MY FEET LIKE GLOVES. DRY AS WELL.  THESE ARE NEVADA'S. I already want another pair for everyday

Blessed are the peacemakers for they are the children of God.

For hills and mountains-Crispi Lapponia Lite--no break in and so light.

For flatter and wet areas--Chene rubber boots--very comfortable. Would recommend ordering at least a 1/2 size smaller than what you usually wear.

I only wear rubber boots for turkey hunting and my go to's are Baffin Titan. They're biggest positive point is that they are hot, so they help on crispy mornings, but they won't really help on the points you wanted.
