A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS goes out to BBR12 for posting a mighty fine gobbler that he shot this weekend. For reference, this man broke his foot just before the opening of the Mississippi season this year and the possibility of him not being able to walk to the woods was very real. Literally, you can not keep a good Roaring 20's man down.

BBR12 has come through in a big way today! He upped his score with a great 70+ meat eating gobbler! This makes 3 so far this season over the 70 mark and at least another 6 weeks of hunting. What a fantastic group of sportsmen we have here.

Dudes, these guys are killing some dinosaurs. I hope I can throw in a 60+ point bird, per usual, to help out. I feel like an anchor on this team, lol. The real goal point wise for me is realistically over 63, the ultimate goal is to get over my teams average in a season. I love the fact that you guys make that as difficult as possible. But I will keep toughing it out with the wife, who gets first crack at our best spot every year. But maybe Odin will smile on me and bless me with an opportunity at a special bird this year.    Z

Incredible! Roost1 has just posted his second upgrade and it is a huge bump. Congratulations doesn't really seem to be enough. Fantastic job gentlemen.

Two points worth making here. This team has presently posted 11 gobblers from 6 team mates and 4 of them have scores in excess of 70 points. Get ready for this, at this point there has not been one bird in this contest with a score  over 70 points posted by any other team. None. The other point is that our average score from these 6 hunters presently stands at 68.897. We have a significant lead over the next closest team with an average posted team score of 60.45.

I have been in this contest for many years and know that any team position can change in the blink of an eye and that the whole thing can be won by one thousandth of a point. We still have over a month before everyone's season has ended. We still need to hunt turkeys with the same fervor and excellent woodsmanship that is in every one of us.

Stay diligent and target the big bird.
