Well I am proud to say I walked in my first ever Relay For Life.  My wife was given the chance to be the team leader for the high school where she works.  She had kids raise money all school year and about 10 of them showed up for the event.  The team also created the luminaries  for the event.  We placed them every 6 feet and covered a 1/4 mile track.  The cool part was letting the kids run the show.  They did great.  With the kids doing most of the work, I hit the track.  My goal was 10 miles, and I had that done by midnight.  I ended up putting 17 miles on last night.  I was going strong but took a break and things started to cramp up.  We had a blast hanging out with the kids and people fighting cancer.  The 16 hours at the event went very fast and I am ready to put on 18 miles next year.  I also have a few ideas for the auctions that will get the men involved.  It was also cool to see the reaction on the students' faces when my wife put her survivor shirt on.  Many have known her for 3 years and had no clue.  It was great to walk for my wife, mom, aunt, (all three doing great) and other friends and family.  (I Just reread this after a nap, man I made a lot of mistakes!!  I guess sleep is a good thing.)

Good job.  My Mom is a survivor also.

Well done!

An all nighter to me is when I don't have to get up and pee in the middle of the night. :TooFunny:
Those of you over fifty just laughed and know exactly where I'm coming from. :icon_thumright:
