Sight Issue

I have a Mossberg 835 turkey gun. I tried to pattern it but the factory sights ran out of adjustment while still shooting 6" high at 40 yards. I took them off and got a TruGlo Gobble Dot. It has a red front and green rear but isn't adjustable. Would I be better off using just the red front or the unadjustable front and rear. It's my only shotgun so will get used for waterfowl and small game too. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I think you can adjust the up and down by where you mount the rear sight. slide it foward or back to move impact up or down.

The main purpose of having the rear sight is to make sure you get your head down consistantly.  Too often people leave there head too high in the heat of the moment with just a front sight and wind up shooting over the turkey.  Most guns you can indeed get some verticle adjustment by moving the rear sight forward or back on the rib.
