I just got in a few more trumpets made from the Osage fence posts I found on my farm. These are the last good pieces I had except for 1 that is being worked with as we speak. I have a few more pieces that have nails and cracks so maybe a few pieces that may work but I will have to get my friend to cut them up and see what he can do. I now have enough calls to last 3 lifetimes.

The 1st trumpet Ken Mullins made me. It has an ivory mouthpiece and is pretty damn smooth. He had an extra piece of wood left over so he made me a tree Yelper also.

The 2nd is an AGE T5 with brass ferrule and ivory mouthpiece. It is amazing as you would expect. It took me a second to get the hang of the AGE because it takes very little air.

I like both of the trumpets. Can't wait for the spring.

I want to thank Ken and Anthony for working with me to build something special. Both are great human beings.

Man I'm a little jealous of the sweet family farm trumpets. There's nothing cooler than that. I have a couple cedar fence post from my papas farm. I'm not sure that I've seen anyone make a cedar trumpet. Probably too prone to break I guess.
