Spring blooms that signal different stages of breeding process

I often correlate the bloom of different flowers and trees to different stages of spring breeding activity. An example of this would be when the dogwoods are blooming the hens are starting to set.

Here in the South, peak breeding is just before what used to be opening day in many Dixie states. Usually marked by the dogwood bloom. Them old timey, "real" Biologists of years past had the seasons set just right. Unfortunately, these agenda driven morons of today have ruint some of the best hunting with their knee jerk season delays.

The cry babies with big pocket books and friends have change the game for sure.

Dog woods blooming in my area mean majority of hens are breed and Toms are ready to be worked.
