By no means am I pot call expert so I'm looking for some advice from those of you who are. If you were to build a glass call, which of these materials would you suggest for the sound board?
Slate
Wood - which species?
The background for the question is that the soundboard will be engraved and there are only some surfaces which my machine will engrave.
