Am I mistaken?

I was looking through the NWTF custom call auction and don't see as many calls as years past... also I don't see some of the traditional names from past auctions either.

Maybe it's been discussed or maybe it hasn't... I could be out of my mind too, never know!

Any thoughts from the collective?

doublespurs21

there was over 1200 calls there,,,,,,, yes, some of the bigger names where not enter ....................

MO_HUNTER

For some reason I was thinking there were well over 1200 in previous years.

I couldn't find some of the calls of makers who placed. Wonder if they had the option for their call to not be raffled. Or maybe, I can't figure out how to work the site lol.

I noticed this also, I didn't see any of Tim Oldham pot calls listed.

Greg Massey

I asked Briana Alley, her and her husband who are in charge of the call judging and the online auction and she said they actually had more entries this year than last year...

They will hold the Best of the Best back so that they can drive the price of those calls up either through the live auction or some other means.  Its all about the money.

I just went back and looked and I counted 1,672 calls up on the auction now!

Like I said, I very well could be mistaken. It appears that is the case.

I didn't see some of the names from the past, so maybe some aren't entering, they are holding back calls, or there are just more new call makers entering. Could be a combination of things. Lots of good looking work this year, that's for sure.

Lose some and gain some has been the pattern lately...

I believe their are less box calls then in the past. Pot calls and trumpet calls have increased dramatically the past few years.
