I've always wanted to try building a solid cedar Gibson like the originals were. I wasn't sure just how well it would sound being cedar is fairly soft and the depth of these calls hollowed out. Surprisingly it came out better than I expected, it has that high pitched whine and smooth clean yelp with a touch of rasp at the end, the cutts are sharp and crisp, and the purrs are soft and clean and chattery. I still need to put a finish on it and fine tune it a bit, but I'm liking the sound of this one.
Thanks for looking, Scott
