I just picked up a nice pair of Vortex binoculars selling for $100.00
If you want a decent pair of Binoculars check out the Vortex Triumph HD 10 X 42
Height  6.1" Width 5.0 " Weight 22.9 Oz
Comes with a GlassPak Bino Case with a harness or you can use the Neck Strap that comes with it as well.
The ClassPak Bino case I might use to toss in a push pin or two and just use the neck strap for the bino.
The only thing I didn't care for was the GlassPak case doesn't come in camo or black, but nothing a little spray paint can't fix!
If you would buy the Glasspak case separately it's $29.95  so a good pair of binoculars, a case and starp for $100.00 is a great deal.
I like their Warranty --- Unlimited, Unconditional, Lifetime Warranty

That's a good deal on both... congrats ... I use Vortex Binoculars and have 2 pairs of them...

I have been very happy with all Vortex products.

I have bought 2 different pair of vortex binoculars. That have both turned out to be junk.

Sometimes manufacture's have a bad run or two on various items for whatever reason, it happens. I know I found a bad run of ammo when I was deer hunting last year. I had two boxes of 243 shells where 8 shells out of each box wouldn't feed properly nor allow the bolt to close. I contacted the manufacture and they made it right.
I hope you contacted Vortex and took advantage of the Unlimited, Unconditional, Lifetime Warranty and allow them to make it right.

This is the key element regarding Vortex,...that no-questions-asked warranty.  I think their quality is equivalent to similarly-priced optics of other brands, and admittedly, I am not sure if those equivalents have similar warrantees, but it appears Vortex stands by their products based on that warranty.

Example:  I was given a pair of Vortex bino's that had apparently been put through the ringer.  They had a dust covering inside the lenses that really impacted their use.  I figured I would just use them as a spare.  I had them in a drawer for several years, but one day I just decided to get on the Vortex site and see if there was any warranty on them.  Turned out, all I had to do was ship them to the warranty shop and they would refurbish them,...so I did.  Got them back a few weeks later looking (and functioning) like new.

Postscript:  Later, I decided to look up the value of the binoculars,...initially thinking they were probably in the $150 range.  Discovered that they sold for $550 new!   :o  :D  :icon_thumright:

I contacted Vortex Service department because i had lost the lens covers to my small pair of binoculars and i ask them if i could buy the rubber type covers for them and the lady said what's your address i will ship you new covers for free. Within a couple of days i had my new replacement covers..

I dropped my pair of Vortex bino's out of a tree stand and watched them become monoculars when they hit the ground.

Vortex sent me a brand new pair with a shipping label to my dealer's store front and he sent back the old pair for me. Top notch customer service from a company that truly stands behind their products, with no questions asked. If it's your fault, or their fault, they'll get you fixed up.

I have 2 pair of binoculars and a scope from Vortex. The smaller pair I bought from an individual on Ebay.  When I received them, they would focus at all. Double vision no matter what you tried. I contacted customer service and she was extremely friendly and helpful.  Emailed me a post paid shipping label and I wrote a brief description of what, where and why. 3 days later, they emailed me saying they received them and were in the service department.  3 or 4 days later, I got the package back. Brand new pair of binoculars and the glasspack harness free of charge. Pleasantly surprised, to say the least. All took place in just a week or so. Excellent company IMO.

A buddy that is an optometrist and knows a lot about optics explained why the more expensive optics tend to be better.  He also said there were some that broke that rule and mentioned Vortex as ahead of the pack in their price class.  He told me the scientific reasons but I did not really understand.

I've never owned vortex but shot several guns wearing vortex scopes. Overall they're good scopes for the price point. Very clear and responsive adjustments. My only gripe with vortex is they manufacture in China.

Some of you guys act like Leupold didn't have an identical warranty for decades before Vortex was ever an idea in someone's mind.

The high end optic manufacturers also have the same customer service standards.

Despite their marketing attempts to make you believe otherwise, Vortex is no exception to the rule.

I own a couple vortex venom red dots for my turkey guns. They are adequate.
For binos I run 3 sets of swarovskis. Rather not need the warranty but its there just in case.
