Are there any birds here? I came up Sunday and me and a buddy have been in white mountain national forest. Monday I walked 18miles, yesterday 21, and working on a pile today. Have heard precisely on me gobble since I got here. Any advice?

21 miles?! Sounds like you should have been doing more listening than hiking. We don't do close to that on backpack elk hunts

Dad and I doubled up on opening day, that was really cool. After that it was 8 hunts before I heard another gobble. Haha
