Feather wrapping wingbones

My feather wrapping technique has been a little hit or miss. it seems like spraying loctite on the bone and attaching the feather seems to work best. I have tried medium superglue but not much success there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Following this one. I am planning on attempting this in the next few days on some wing ones I just finished. I was thinking about using some brush on polyurethane
I'll let ya know how it goes.
