Benelli SBE 1 question

Does anyone on here own a SBE 1 in a left handed model? I swore I found one online before but I can't now. Been looking for one for a year or so now but seems to be rare as hens teeth

I do not own one, but they were made.  Check guns America and Gunbroker and just do a google search, I bet they are getting really hard to come buy!

Duck hunters in particular love that gun.

I saw one but it was an old posting from gunsamerica, I'm guessing they were pretty rare. More so now. Seems to be a model that once you owned one you weren't in a hurry to get rid of!

Yes, even a right hander is hard to come by!  Duck hunters love em, you can float a fourth shell in the receiver which is no big deal to me, most guys are wasting the first three anyway!

They still make new model LH guns, I would just go that route personally.

Yeah I know, just don't really care for the newer model. Nor the price tag for a gun I don't really need lol

I have a SBE 1 in left hand 24'' had it for over 20 years so they did make em. I also have a SBE 2 in left hand with 24'' also. now they dont make anything in 24'' in left hand anymore..

I know! Wonder why they don't make that model ? Bet you can buy a 500 dollar barrel from them though haha

I own a left hand SBE 1. Got it the first year they started making them in LH If my memory serves. I have the receipt from when I  bought it but there is no date on it. Not sure why. I think it was the mid or late 90's.

It's my waterfowl and dove gun and I really like it...now. Had some jamming problems in the beginning but I fixed them,  Benelli wouldn't. The gun was also designed to shoot 1 1/8 oz loads or heavier. I got it to shoot 1 oz loads reliably. One of the important things to get it to shoot well (especially in cold weather) is to take apart and clean the recoil spring in the stock once a year. I also shoot it dry (no lube) once it gets cold, late November.

I use it a lot and waterfowl hunting is tough on a gun. It is showing lots of wear, some parts are bare of any coating, but still going. It has been shot thousands of times.
