Just thought id share my two public land Osceolas from this season. I was able to tag out and call in birds for two of my friends this season. Shot the first with my 12 gauge and the second with a 20 gauge I put together last season but never got a chance to use. 1st bird came in quiet. Saw him down a buggy trail and set up 150 yds from him. I yelped and he popped his head up. 5 min later I see him at 70 yds. As he slowly starts making his way towards me a bobcat runs in between us crossing the trail. Im thinking that the hunt is over but the tom stays put. I yelp and cut and the bird starts making his way down the trail again. He lifts his head up at 30 yards after I let out a small cluck from my mouth call and the longbeard #6s laid him out.

One of my personal current interests is nest predators and how a majority of hunters, where legal bait to the extent of chumming coons.  However once they get the predators concentrated they don't control them.
