Thanks everyone for the kind words.I was very reluctant to sneak his gun out of our safe to have it refinished.I had offered to buy him a new Remington as his was getting just a little faded,but he was adamant he absolutely did not want a new gun cause of the memory's with this one and I do understand.
Just glad it turned out good for my sake.if he's happy....his old man is happy!
