Mossberg 500 Turkey .410 Fixed Full Fed. TSS 9

Finally got to try my .410 Mossberg Model 500 Turkey.  It is a 2018 model with a 26 inch barrel and fixed full choke(.389).  Set up HS Strut turkey head targets at 30 yards.  With the factory double bead sight it hits right on POA/POI at 30 yards with the front bead just sitting on top of the middle bead.  Federal Premium 13/16 oz. #9 TSS.  Every target had in excess of 50+ hits in the head and neck. Really impressed compared to lead loads.  I think I am ready for opening day.   I also tried Winchester XX Turkey 3/4 oz # 7 1/2 CP lead.  Those are worthless in my gun. I will not buy any more.  Probably end up using them for hunting cottontail rabbits.

I like using the 500 410. I have a mossberg 500 410ga TSS turkey gun.  Mine has a Indian Creek. 385 choke. Using apex ninja 9.5 shot.  Topped with a reflex red dot. I sure like the pattern it puts out at 40 yards.
