Central Alabama NWTF JAKES DAY

The Elmore County Chapter of the NWTF is having their annual JAKES EVENT this Saturday, June 11 in Wetumpka Alabama.

If you are in central Alabama, come and join us. we could also use some more volunteers if you want to help. LOL It takes a bunch of folks to work all the events.

So far we have 275 kids preregistered. It is an awesome event. Everything is free from the JAKES membership, lunch, T-shirts, events.

We will have everthing from rifle, shotgun, archery, muzzle loading, bb guns, hatchet throwing, chain saw carver, blacksmith, trappers, building bird houses, building walking staffs, outdoor first aid, Life Flight helicopter landing, Junior Bass championship weigh in, outdoor photography, and a bunch more stations that I forget about. Oh yeah Alabama Dairy Farmers Association is bringing a dairy cow for a milking demonstration.

I have seen the event grow from 50 youngsters to what it is today.

That's awesome! I love to hear and see sportsmen promoting outdoor lifestyle to youngsters. Kudos to you for your support of this event.

Way to go Beretta! JAKES and Wheelin' Sportsmen are the 2 bright spots for the NWTF.
We need to get today's kids outdoors!
I think our chapter is in it's 13 year of hosting a JAKES event.

they are a good thing for kids we had one were  we live but people that  did it could not get along so everything fell apart
