This is a trumpet that I turned yesterday, Katalox with Q4 faux Ivory MP. The Katalox is super hard but turns ok and takes a nice finish. The sound is up there with the big name woods. Thx for looking, Dave

I talked with Shoebox (Dave) and he was a true gentleman. He was quick to respond to me and even called me to make sure he had answered my questions. He also ran multiple calls of various woods (some more than once) to let me hear the sound and I must say there is nothing wrong with the sound of the trumpets he is producing. I wound up buying a Katalox Trumpet, but would have been fine with any he was offering based on how they sounded. Super nice fellow - check him out if you are in the market for a call.
