10 Ga shotguns are a good investment!

I see where a single barrel 10 ga just sold on Gunbroker for $1,225 a couple weeks ago. Wish I had a dozen of them to sell.

Holy cow that's crazy! Speaking of crazy prices, did you see the 2 Marlin Supergoose 10's they have listed on gunbroker? One is listed at $1150 or so and one at $750, starting bids! Bluebook  has value at $300 in excellent condition, and these two don't look to be that. Lgs has a single shot 10 priced at $350 but it doesn't have the choke tubes so i passed on it. I remember when you ran across them all the time for under $200. I think they were all bought up by youtubers so they could post stupid videos about "massive recoil" lol!

I'm so old now (51) that I used to see those used H&R model 176 and Stevens 9478 10ga singles in gun stores for $80-$100. This was back in the '80's and '90's. I bought my H&R model 176 from a pawn shop for $80 back in 1986. I used #2 shot (!) to kill my first two gobblers with it. This was before the ammo makers came out with 10 round boxes and there were only 25 round boxes. The local Coast to Coast hardware store had a gun counter and the owner would sell 10ga shells for $1 a piece so kids like me could afford some ammo.

Wonder what the SP-10's are going for now. I have a factory camo gun that I bought in the early 2000's that probably hasn't had 50 shells through it. Killed a lot of turkeys and a few geese with it, but a 20 gauge with TSS just makes more sense. Not sure I could ever part with it though.....

That is a crazy price for a single shot.   I don't care what 10 ga. shotguns sell for I will never part with my Browning BPS Stalker "Turkey Special" (factory X full turkey choke, sling studs, 24 inch barrel and factory installed Hi-Vis FO sights).  I bought the gun in 2001 . I have not hunted with it for a few years but I am using it this year.  What a BEAST!  Love it!

Sp10's  in good working order on gunbroker go for $1,000 and up i would say $1200-1500 is the average price but some fetch higher prices

I just got a ithaca mag10 satin black walnut stock matte finish in barely used condition , with the barrel cut to 28 inch and threaded for briely chokes for 930...they usually go for 1100-1500 average --im in the process of souping it up for goose and turkey --i got thr barrel back from sumtoy and William made me 3 drop dead gorgeous chokes in briely patten I was blown away !! I just installed.the Wolfe extra power mag, action &hammer spring ...cut the stock to my measurements ...next is a barrel polish and to pattern,  it should perform awesome ..ill post up a nice thread when I'm done

But yes all 10 gauge guns have gone through the roof $$

Sounds like a sweet gun O.G. Post up some pics when you get a chance. I have some 10 gauge pattern pics and stuff i need to get posted here soon. Love my Bps, but my next 10 will be an auto for sure.

Agreed. The Ithaca Mag-10 will always be my all time favorite 10ga. I love my Supreme grade Mag-10. I stare at the fancy wood grain on mine all the time while hunting with it. Looking forward to Old Gobbler's write up.

All gun prices are up  I just sold one of my 10. Bought a new Ithaca deer slayer 2.  They can't get the steel to make the receivers    I wanted a 20 but had to get a 12.  They only have a few guns to sell.  Tough times are here.
