I don't know anything about him or his calls.  But not many people can lay claim to 400 plus turkeys, and back it up.   Tip of the hat to the man.
If I'm not back in five minutes, wait longer!

I don't know if the guys who do "The Turkey Hunter Podcast" are on here or not but it'd be neat for them to call him and talk to him.

He makes diaphragms and box calls I know for sure - not sure about pots- he has donated many box calls to jakes events I have attended!!

I have kept a photo album for the last 40 years, but I still missed some birds in there. I have no record of the early ones from 1971 until I started the album in the early 80s. I wrote the date and birds stats on each photo and I can remember most of the kill stories, but some are lost. I might be pushing 200 but I really don't know. This spring will be my 51st year, so that gentleman is indeed a hall of famer. Gosh I doubt I even had 7 shot opportunities my first 10 years. Our season was 3 -7 days the first 8-10 years and 1 bird limit at home and all the surrounding states. So if you found more than 1 gobbler you were in high cotton. So first you have to have opportunity. I never started having multiple bird seasons until the late 80s early 90s. Still that's an impressive string.

Very impressive string. Would enjoy listening to his stories. The Yellow Yelper mouth calls, and Doug Camps pots and box was the first custom calls I purchased when started turkey hunting. Still use them from time to time.

Sounds like Mr. Bridges is a fine gentleman and a good call maker.  It would be very interesting to hear the "statistics and logistics" of where he hunted over the decades to stack up that many gobblers.  As eggshell says, the key to killing lots of gobblers is having enough years under one's belt and the time, finances, opportunity (and perhaps most importantly, the desire) to hunt lots of places where a guy could even have the possibility of accomplishing such a feat.  I suspect the vast majority of us cannot check the boxes on one or more of those factors.  Having said that, kudos to the man for his accomplishments in the turkey hunting world.  :icon_thumright:

Wow that's a lot of turkey for sure,
He has killed 453 more than I have and I there's no chance at catching up with me at 58 years old
If I am lucky maybe I might get my second one this spring.
