it was tough going the past couple of days in SE NE w/o any success. the birds were pressured very hard where I hunted. so, calling was almost useless. the vegetation was too thick to hunt the woodlots and the fields were not very accessible for me w/ all the rain. we experienced 35+ mph winds yesterday and on top of all that... as soon as, we thought we had 2 toms patterned, they changed their patterns to the exact opposite. the odds were definitely stacked against us, but I had to get the last weekend fix until next spring season. although, i did past on a few jakes and had a hen about 3 feet from the blind. it was all good... I'm ready for next spring!
