Ok, after seeing this post I dug out my 1982 vintage 32oz Stanley the other day. Not a scientific experiment but I pre-heated it with hot water, dumped it and re-added hot water and closed it up. This was in the morning, in the evening I opened it back up and if it would've been coffee it would've been totally hot and drinkable. I couldn't post a pic but mine has a black handle that doesn't move at all, the straps that hold it on are like large wire ties. So for the price and the size Stanley is probably still a good bet.
