Thinking about getting one of these Nomad killn time turkey vests. Just wanted to know if anyone here has one and their thoughts on it.

Some members on here have bought them so they will probably give you their opinions. I've been thinking about trying one myself. This guy on youtube does a pretty good review.

I used one this season. Its laid out very good and has tons of pockets. It is a heavy vest coming out of the gate. I removed the stadium seat from mine and it lightened it up a bit. I dont cover 20 miles a day so its not bad. If I was running and gunning all day I would pick a different vest. It is very well made and held up great. I wanted in bottomland as they advertised it being available but They never had them. I like it overall and will be using it for several years to come.

Mine arrived straight from Nomad yesterday and I loaded it up this morning. My first impressions are excellent and this vest is well built, lots of pockets and I love the layout. I removed everything from my old Cabelas vest and transferred it to the Killing Time and there are still many more pockets left. I also removed the stadium seat and cushion because I use a Browning Strutter chair now. The camo is dark and very green so it will definitely be greener than anything around me in the early season but I really don't think that matters. I will be hunting with it on Tuesday and Wednesday and will let you know what I think. Also Nomad has 25% off now and mine came to $135 delivered! Definitely a huge improvement over my old Cabelas Tatr vest.

Spent a few hours hunting with this vest and I absolutely love it. Every piece of equipment has a home with lots of pockets to spare. Comfortable and well built I plan on using this for years to come. There really is nothing I would change on it and like I said in the above post a huge improvement over my old Cabelas vest.

I went ahead and got one and I love it.

It will fit just about anyone has lots of adjustment to it  :jackson:

I received the Nomad Killing Time vest yesterday & here are my opinions on it. I unboxed it, done some adjusting to my fit & loaded it up with all my stuff. The vest is pretty dark & I may let it sit in the sun some before next turkey season with hopes to lighten up the dark camo some. It does have plenty storage room for anything most hunters would ever need. I really like the ability to use the stadium style seat to sit anywhere without the need for a tree. That comes in handy really well sometimes. That's one of the reasons why I bought it. I also like that it has a pocket for a thermocell, a must have down here in the south. Also the back seat seems pretty comfortable & to me is more comfortable than the Cabela's Tactical Tat'r 2. But it is the heaviest vest I have ever owned even heavier than the Cabela's Kickstand vest. But when I put it on it didn't feel as heavy as I expected it to especially considering how much it weighs. It seems to distribute the weight really well. Could be due to the wide shoulder straps. Overall I really like it & it looks to be a good quality vest that has had a lot of thought put into it. I won't be able to know for sure how well I will like it until next season. Hope this helps others in making the decision if this vest is one they would like. Here are some weight comparisons of some vests I own or have owned in the past according to my digital fish scales.

Nomad Killing Time Vest
Total weight with back & bottom seats attached: 5.65 lbs.
Without back seat: 4.85 lbs.
Without back & bottom seat: 3.95 lbs.
With back seat & without bottom seat: 4.75 lbs.

Cabela's Tactical Tat'r 2: 3.6 lbs.
Cabela's Tactical Tat'r 2 with kickstand: 5.35 lbs.
Alps Impact: 4.1 lbs.
Midway Full Strut: 2.5 lbs.

Great review Grayfox on an awesome vest. I do agree it is heavy but also quality with lots of features and I don't feel the weight when wearing it.
