SPRING 2011

Well the spring turkey seasons are now memories for me.

I had a good season, I killed my heaviest bird to date and the bird with the second longest spurs.
It was a strange season, for sure. The turkeys didn't gobble and just didn't act like they have in the past.
We had the rainiest spring I can ever remember, over 21 inches in April. Weather really messed with us this spring, cold, wet and windy.
Kansas hunt was a success but a very hard hunt this year. Rain and 30 to 50 mph winds. I think I heard a tornado pass over head one afternoon. Managed to fill my tags the last day of a 4 1/2 day hunt, but I was unable to up grade.

I am proud of each of the WidowMakers and am proud to be your team mate.

Now all I have to do is try and make it until Spring 2012. Best of everthing brothers and have a great summer.

Glad you ended up with a pretty good spring and some good birds to boot. Hope to see you again next year Bill. Have a safe and good summer.
