How often are you applying the homemade P-10% tick spray to your clothing??  I'm mixing at 1oz of P-10% to 17oz of water for .055% solution(I went between .050 and .625 that I've seen posted) if it matters.

Is 1x a week overkill or bad for you?  1x every 2 weeks?

I do mine every 30 days. They say it lasts 6 weeks but I don't push
it that long. Haven't got a tick on me yet in over 4 years doing it this way.
If you do it more often you're just wasting money.

Once just prior to season and then again mid season.

Also have been showering and washing clothes(mostly casual clothes I wear around camp) with Bio shield.

Sounds good.  I applied a week ago so sounds like I'm good for a while.  Thanks all

One application every month should be fine unless you are washing them frequently.  If you use it as a dip for dogs, they recommend once a month so...

I mixed mine very weak and apply it often. I keep a spray bottle in my truck door and try to remember to mist my pants, waistline, cuffs and collar every time I leave the truck.
I put maybe an ounce of 2.5% into a quart jug and it has still proven highly effective at killing ticks. A little permethrin on your skin is not going to hurt you. I'll even mist my bare legs if I happen to be in shorts.

I reapply after every 5 or 6 washes.

I hit my pants, jacket, vest LIGHTLY with a spritz...every three-four weeks.  Have not had a tick in years...
