Well guys, I struck out this year. Went out this past Saturday and didn't hear/see a thing. Had a pretty rough season but had fun and got on a few birds, just couldn't seal the deal. I had planned to hunt a few more days than I did. I missed a Saturday when I was sick from my tick bite and ended up having to take a few days off work. The vacation time I had to eat up while sick caused me to cancel my hunting plans for this coming Thursday and Friday. My sister graduates from college this Saturday and so I'll be there instead of the woods. Maryland closes on Monday, so I'm officially done for the year. A bit dissapointed I didn't kill a bird but I wouldn't call my season a failure. I learned alot (just like every other year), saw a few birds and got to get out of the house a bit. Killing a bird would have just been icing on the cake for me. Already looking forward to next year.
