That I would be next to pull the trigger?

Went with a buddy to a farm we've never hunted before just for something new. Got on a bird and the setup was to get him to shoot. (He had to leave for work at 8). Well we worked this bird for about an hour and he hangs up just below my buddy out of sight. Then he makes the classic side door move and comes around the point we were sitting on and periscopes in front of me at about 30 or so at 11 oclock.  He stepped behind a tree, I swing to 11 and wait a minute or so until he shows himself again.

Has 1 inch spurs and a 10 inch beard but only 17 pounds.  Film at 11.

Counting the Snow Bird, that's 2 mature birds that need to eat more.

Heck yeah congrats. Hunts don't always work out like we plan but never let one walk off, that's what me and Bradley go by.  Every bird has his one day, glad you were able to be there. Retirement is suiting you well.

My buddy and I play by those same rules. If you have a shot, take it.
