Title: Social Distancing can be a bad thing
Post by: xarcher on April 29, 2020, 06:34:48 PM
When it's done by turkeys.  I spent 3 days in the mountains of eastern WV and the best I could get was a drive by gobble.  Once.  Otherwise it was eerily quiet.  Always have had plenty of action in the past.  Been going to this spot for 5 years now and this is the first year either my son or I did not fill a tag.

Slept in a tent on the mountain each night and it got under 40 degrees twice.  It was not easy getting out of the sleeping bag at 4:30 AM.

Going home tonight and regrouping for our PA opener on Saturday.  Time to help the team.

WV has been a miserable turd-show this year.  I have only had 1 single day where it started above 40, and now 2 days where it snowed on me.  Today was warm, calm, sunny, and silent as the grave.  The WVDNR better give us back our real last week of season.
