Title: Mute turkeys
Post by: Remington924 on May 12, 2011, 04:27:40 PM
lovett the other day i harvest one of 6 birds we saw from about 300 yards and eventually played the terrain and got in range, what i noticed was perculair watching the birds from 300 yards on a calm clear day with little background news around the birds would appear to gobble the head would go forward and theyd make the movent but we couldnt hear it. i have seen birds gobbling 1000s of yards away and always heard it but these were relatively close and i see no reason as to why we couldnt hear them gobbling other than they are unable to make the sound...they do the movenment and the act of gobble but without any sounds coming out. is this possible? and if so have you heard of it?
