Title: Kansas was tough.
Post by: 18javelin on May 26, 2018, 08:40:13 PM
Spent 4 long days in 90 degree temps in Kansas and while I have a Jake to show for it the long beards were done and would stay 100 yards out on public. The wife killed a jake also. They will eat well and out of all the birds I've shot I'm still not to proud to pass a Jake.  I watched alot of birds die this year and that Jake gave me the feel goods after 3 days in this heat. Lol I'll get him added this eve. Just rolled in. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180527/c6c1fda32fb49695c8e642cd2522b49a.jpg)

Good stuff congrats and well done!

Noticed on your pictures there is only one spur picture. Do you have a picture of the other spur?

Yes it was, very little gobbling and not a lot of birds. 6 hunters 7 days and only 4 birds.

Been a weird season here for sure,  weather has been very uncooperative.
