Title: Tactacam 4.0 vids
Post by: whitelightning on May 21, 2017, 08:50:07 PM
Hey guys, so I also got a 4.0 to try out this year, and all I can say is I love having this camera on. I get so focused on the head of the bird, that I miss things that happen around the bird or with other birds. Plus the mic on these things is insane. So here are a couple videos I got this year.

Love it. I have never in 35 years of hunting had a gobbler land in my lap like your last video. And I'm thinking your decoy was molested..  How did you have your camera mounted ? Mine is directly under the barrel. Also good deal on keeping your composure after the shot. That is where my videos go to crap with me forgetting to keep the gun pointed at the bird.  I have 4 kills and the daughters miss all on video. Kind of nice to be able to slow them down and look at them.

I have my camera mounted to their picatany rail mount. if you have a pic rail I suggest getting it. That mount is awesome. I don't know if you know this but you can invert the camera on the 4.0 to mount under the barrel but still have it shoot right side up. I'll post pics of that mount tomorrow. I tried the head mount for the first couple birds, but the bird always seemed to be just out of sight of the camera.

I don't always keep my composure but I've been trying to get better at it. Still shake like a leaf after the shot for about 5 minutes lol.
