I have no idea what's going on with the team.  We go from contenders last year to nothing but dead threads.  Even if you're having a bad season guys, at least give a shout out to those that are still hunting. Good luck Trackey!

Yes very quiet here this season. Birds will start dropping for us now. That will liven this joint up!  :blob10:

It's your turn fellas.  Get some of them big ole northern birds down!
We wrapped it up yesterday and my season ended in a whimper.....time to be punitive to the fish populations.

Tough day today.. Tight lipped birds right outta the gate. Some gobbling on the roost and that was it. Tomorrow looks like a wash out. Wednesday looks like the day. More to follow on my first week. Good luck all.

Day two... Much better action today and right off the roost. Still no bird. Ol' super jake gobbled his fool head off. He was called to the barrel twice and passed. Started to think... if he does it again he's gonna get it. He didn't come back the 3rd time. Full fan,5" beard, in and out of strut a fired up two year old. Great hunt.
Birds were very vocal before noon. Working a few bird from far, I had two jakes sneak in and back door me. They were less than 10 paces.. not knowing they were behind me,BOTH birds gobbled right in my EAR! Nearly blew my hat off. Scared the crap outta me! Lol! Tomorrow I have a good fix on another roost location, with great weather ahead and bright  sunny sky's... finally.  ;D
Need some luck now. Fingers crossed. I'm pumped! I finally feel like I'm back in the game.
Good luck all

We're a week and a half into season in WV and it is as bad as I've saw with uncooperative birds.  Still have 2.5 weeks left though, ill kill one of I have to camp over a decoy.

Good luck to our Northern counterparts on their gobbler quests.  :happy0064: My season in Florida was derailed by unforeseen family issues, a missed shot, birds in range but on the wrong side of the fence twice and then a sacrificial jake while hunting with my Dad. Sorry for the let down this season guys, but it is what it is. Looks like Blackmagic and I need to shoot a ton of fish to calm our nerves. Go get em boys.  :you_rock:

No luck yet. Tag soup for weeks 1 and 2.  So far I've hunted six out of the 10 days. Tomorrow looks like a wash out.  Monday starts a new week. Good luck all.
