Title: Public Land Virginia for Fall Turkey
Post by: Uncle Nicky on February 03, 2015, 08:50:34 AM
I'm getting a new pup for turkey hunting, and if all goes well, I'm thinking of trying my luck next fall in Virginia (Pennsylvania resident). I've heard George Washington forest is a great spot, but not sure if hunting the late season (January) in the mountains is a great idea. Is there even vehicle access once the snow starts getting deep? Any other public land in a flatter part of the state that might be worth looking into? Not looking for anyone's honey-hole, just trying to figure out where to start, you can PM me if you don't want to share this on the WWW. Thanks!
