My name is Austin Mason
My father Mark Mason saved, traded and bartered for over a year to provide me with the opportunity to go hunt in Texas! He told me back then that "he has seen the future of hunting slowly dwindling away".
I was eight years old when I had the opportunity to harvest my very first Whitetail Buck in Texas at awesome place called Stone Ledge Ranch! Since that time I have had a hunger for the outdoor industry.
It's now 7 years later and I'm a bit more mature and have a better understanding of what's happening in our outdoor industry, I see it every day, on TV, school and mostly in our news media.
I personally have a deep belief that our sport is on the verge of dying and I wanted to do something about it. My thoughts were if someone doesn't step up and do something then it's not going to be here when I grow up or for my kids to enjoy! So I asked my father if he would help me be a part of the outdoor industry and he agreed to help! He told me that if I was going to do something out of the norm, he would recommend that I do game calls! So we looked around at was out there in the industry and decided to take a chance and start A&M Game Calls.
Our call company will be the very first in the industry that will be owned and operated by a youth! Yes Me!, we figured if we are going to preach, then we better do! My father has told me that this is going to be a challenge and if successful I will have "Walked the Walk" and I would learn a great deal from it.

I would like to commend you and your dad for taking on such a venture and also let me say that I also commend you on your proper use of the English language and your spelling abilities. This is something that I see that is somewhat lacking in today's environment.

I agree, totally. It is nice to see a young man that has ambitions and doesn't have a sense of entitilement that most your age have. Congrats and good luck on your new venture. Show us your stuff. I am always willing to add a new call to my stable.. I also congratulate you, as Bird mentioned, on your ability to write a readable, interesting post, with proper puctuation. Well done, son...Mike

Austin, you are a rare find these days, to be intrigued by the sport and the art of callmaking at an age where most are sitting in front of a video game or running the streets looking for trouble. When you state you have a hunger, feed it through the expert advice offered by so many here on this site, because that is the only way you'll find your plate full. Best of luck in your venture. Pappy

I appreciate all the nice positive feedback you guys have given me! I know this will be hard and Im sure my dad will smack me a few times just for grins but Im not one to give as my Dad has always told me to stand strong and never give up. Here is a few of my calls, sorry the photos are not great but I only have a cheap camera, maybe if I sell enough calls I will buy a better one.
Keep up the great work! Its something that I would like to get involved with, think I am gonna have to try it out.
My dad told me I could start looking for some good callers that would like to use our calls in competitions and hunting to get people to check us out, I told him I would like to have has some really good youth callers and he agreed
