Title: Gizzard Rock Wingbone
Post by: ChesterCopperpot on May 29, 2021, 09:00:08 PM
Decided to try to incorporate some of the stones out of a gobbler's gizzard into a wingbone call this season. Turned out kind of cool.

Lol, that's pretty cool...not only are you using his bones, you're using his gizzard. Now that's a conversation piece!!!

Ha pretty cool.  I've always wondered why some guys collect gastroliths in jars.

Neat idea.  I always document crop contents but wish I would have started saving gastroliths a long time ago

For the newbies turkeys have two stomachs and don't have the ability to break down hard foods.  Because they don't have teeth.  Turkeys eat gravel to help digest and break down these hard foods so they can be digested.  The gravel acts as internal teeth in a sense. Breaking down harder foods in the blender.  Miracle of nature.
